Auram Press 4000S

We have an Auram Press 4000S on order for delivery May, 2023.

The Auram Press 4000S is a semi-automatic compressed earth block (CEB) press with a maximum output of 1000 blocks per hour for certain blocks. We expect with the block we’re using, the Innolock 250, to output about 500 blocks per hour.

The Auroville Earth Institute Innolock 250 block is 250x250x100mm, about 10″x10″x4″. Since it’s interlocking with hollows, it doesn’t need to have mortar in between the blocks – it is stacked either dry or with slip, then the hollows are filled with concrete with periodic rebar.

How fast can you build with interlocking blocks?

Using interlocking bricks is magnitudes faster than using regular brick with mortar.
